Q: Do you do offer hairstyling as well as makeup?
I do not currently offer hairstyling services, however I work with a number of amazing stylists on a regular basis, and am happy to pass on their details to you to help you to find the right hairdresser for your big day.
Q. When does a bridal trial usually take place? Can I have an initial trial before booking to see if you are right for me?
A bridal trial is usually somewhere between 4 and 12 weeks before the wedding date, and I recommend 8 - 10 weeks as the ideal time. This time frame is to ensure all the details of your wedding are finalised, making you confident in the makeup look you would like to go for, and also ensures the look we create is fresh in my mind. Trials may be earlier or later by request - however for brides who would like a trial in excess of 6 months before their wedding date, I do recommend an initial pre-trial, and then a full trial nearer the time. I do also offer complimentary consultations (distance dependent on travel allowance), which gives you a chance to meet with me and discuss your ideas, and peruse my portfolio of bridal work.
Q; How many faces can you make up?
As many as you require. For large bookings with tight time constraints, I have a team of assistant makeup artists available who will assist to ensure the smooth running of the morning.
Q: How soon can I book you for my wedding date?
There is very limited space available for 2016, and I am booking into 2017 and 2018. There is no limit as to how early I can be booked, and it is advisable to be as early as possible as demand is very high for peak season dates. I sometimes have some last minute spaces available, again its always worth asking no matter how soon your day. However I like to reiterate that to avoid disappointment, the earlier the better, as most weeks I have to decline anywhere from 5 - 20 enquiries and generally key dates book up around 12 - 18 months in advance.
Q: Do you accept credit / debit cards?
If you wish to pay the balance in full before the day then you are able to pay by card through BACs. Payment by cheque must be paid no less than 5 working days before the wedding date. However, if you chose to pay the remaining balance on the day then this is to be paid by cash only.
Q: What if I need to cancel my booking?
If you do need to cancel your booking please let me know as soon as you can so I may offer the appointment to other brides. The deposit is non refundable in event of cancellation. Please carefully read the T&Cs included on the booking form which explain the time frames required for a cancellation - for cancellations less than 60 days before the event a percentage of the final balance fee occurs.
Q: I`ve got very sensitive skin, can you still do my makeup?
I have products in my kit to suit all skin types, and often use mineral makeup which is gentle, effective and paraben and additive free. However , if you have a specific problem which you know is aggravated by a specific product, please let me know when booking. The trial will also give us a chance to discuss this, and to ensure you are happy with all the products we are going to use.
Q: How far do you travel?
I travel anywhere within the UK, and internationally where required. For distances of over 100 miles, overnight accomodation costs may be incured. For travel costs plese see the bridal makeup page, and for international enquiries plese get in touch for a bespoke quote tailored to your requirements.
